What is a J Foundation Bolt?

• They are also known as J Anchor Bolts and are headless bolt fasteners that have a threaded shaft on one end and a hook bend on the other end making the shape of letter “J”.
• They are one of the most commonly used anchor bolts along with the L Foundation Bolts.
• The hook is designed to hook onto the rebar embedded in the concrete and provide anchorage to the structure above.
• Their most common application is in construction of RCC Foundations which is why they are also referred to as Foundation Bolts. (source)
