What are Engineering Studs?

• They are a type of fastener that consist of a round bar, threaded at both ends with a plain section in the middle.
• Also known as double ended studs, engineers studs feature a long thread and a short thread at either end of a plain section.
• Studs are measured as overall length, with each diameter having a fixed thread length on the short end.
• They serve a variety of applications and are mostly used in assembly with T-nuts, fixture nuts, clamps or screwed directly into the fixture.
